Campaign Types
The campaign type defines the activity Merkl tracks and rewards. Merkl supports 200+ campaign types across onchain and offchain activities.
The campaign type defines the activity that Merkl tracks to compute rewards. The other building blocks (distribution, scoring, customization) then define how Merkl turns this activity into rewards.
Merkl supports 200+ campaign types, and the list grows every week. If an activity leaves a trace onchain or in a data source you control, Merkl can most likely reward it. For example:
- Holding tokens: ERC-20, ERC-721, ERC-1155, ERC-6909, rebasing tokens, Solana SPL and Stellar tokens. This covers any protocol that issues receipt tokens: AMM LP tokens, vault shares, staking receipts, perp vaults.
- Providing liquidity: concentrated and constant-product AMMs, gauges, and liquidity managers.
- Lending and borrowing: supply, borrow, collateral, and net positions on lending markets.
- Vaults and staking: ERC-4626 vaults, staking contracts, lockers, and restaking.
- Transfers and bridging: incoming transfers, bridged amounts, and cross-chain balances.
- Allocations you compute: airdrops from a file, or rewards served by your own endpoint.
- Combinations: several campaigns combined with a formula.
The full, live list is in the schema explorer.
Do not see your protocol or activity? Open a BD ticket on Discord. Merkl adds new integrations continuously.
Campaign types with dedicated pages
Most campaign types need no explanation beyond the general mechanics. The pages below cover some types with specific mechanics or parameters:
- Concentrated Liquidity: price-range weights, fixed APR bands, and tick limits.
- Token Holding: balance-based rewards and idle liquidity rewards.
- Lending and Borrowing: net lending and Morpho multi-market campaigns.
- Airdrop: one-off distribution from a JSON file.
- Encompassing: rewards computed by you and served by your endpoint.
- Composed: several campaigns combined with a formula.
